Privacy Policy
Golden Word Search is a premium word puzzle game made by IdeaBridge GmbH. We built it to be played, not to harvest data. There are no ads, no ad networks, no tracking across other apps or websites, and no account or registration. This page explains the little data the app does touch.

What the app stores on your device
Your game progress (levels, coins, collected curios, settings) is saved locally on your device. We cannot read it and it never reaches our servers.
iCloud sync (optional, Patrons)
If you are a Patron and use more than one device, your save is synced through your personal Apple iCloud account using Apple's key-value storage. That data lives in your iCloud, is transferred by Apple, and is not accessible to us. Apple's privacy terms apply (apple.com/legal/privacy).
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your payment details. To deliver what you bought and to restore purchases, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase infrastructure service. RevenueCat receives a random app-specific identifier and your purchase receipt, never your name or payment data. See revenuecat.com/privacy.
Anonymous usage analytics
To understand which parts of the game work well (for example how many players finish the first level, or where people stop playing) the app sends a small number of anonymous events to PostHog, an analytics service, under a randomly generated identifier. These events contain things like "level 3 completed" or "storefront opened". They contain no name, no email, no contacts, no location, and no advertising identifier, and they are not used to track you across other apps or websites. Analytics data is processed on PostHog's US cloud (posthog.com/privacy).
Music downloads
The app downloads its additional soundtrack files from our content delivery network (Cloudflare). This is a plain file download; we do not attach personal data to it. Cloudflare may briefly process your IP address as part of serving the download, as any web server does.
What we do not do
- No advertising, no ad tracking, no advertising identifier (IDFA/AAID).
- No selling or sharing of personal data.
- No accounts, no email collection, no contact access, no location access.
- No profiling of children: the game is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
Legal basis (EU/GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies: purchases are processed to fulfil our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Anonymous analytics rest on our legitimate interest in improving the game (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); the data is not attributable to you as a person by us. iCloud sync happens at your initiative within your own Apple account.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, and restrict processing of personal data, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Since we hold essentially no personal data about you, the fastest route for any request is legal@ideabridge.de. Deleting the app deletes your local save; your iCloud data can be removed via iOS Settings.
Changes
If the app ever changes what data it touches, this page will be updated before that change ships.
